Fear of vomiting is a common phobia/anxiety and can often interfere and spoil a persons life, due to the typical reaction of avoiding doing things that has even the slightest chance of making you sick.

This type of fear takes two forms – either fear of being sick yourself and/or fear of other people being sick – often these two types of fear coincide. It can affect women who would dearly love to become pregnant but the fear of morning sickness sadly frightens them from doing so.
Causes of Emetophobia:
This type of phobia – fear of vomiting is quite common and begins with an incident of vomiting (your own or someone else) associated with an extreme fear reaction, the two (extreme fear and vomiting) become associated in the unconscious mind. It is this association which hypnotherapy helps to re-educate your unconscious mind allowing the fear of the situation to be released.
